Collection: Amanda Drage

Amanda is a wildlife artist born in Kettering and now living and working in Corby, Northamptonshire. Her work is characterised by emotive

depictions of animal subjects, set within bold compositions that give the work a contemporary dimension. Her portraits and close-up views of her subjects often focus on the gaze of the animal, and what it seems to say to us.

Amanda works in a variety of media including oil paints, charcoal and soft pastel. Although her animal paintings are mostly representational and realistically painted, she does like to work in a looser more expressive style from time to time. The use of different materials and
techniques enable her to create work in the varied styles she enjoys, brought together by the common theme of a love for depicting the natural world.

Over the last few years Amanda has also established herself as a pet portrait artist, with a high demand for her sensitively drawn pastel portraits, and a worldwide client base."
