Picture restoration and cleaning
Care for the pieces that mean the most to you.
Alongside our bespoke picture framing service in Thrapston, we also offer picture cleaning, painting restoration and conservation services. These include the re-lining of paintings on canvas, retouching of damaged artworks, re-making of old frames, and full picture cleaning and re-varnishing by skilled experts.
We can handle easel paintings whether on canvas, board or panel, both in oil or acrylic. Our specialists are also adept at re-colouring watercolours and ‘de-foxing’ them – often caused by humidity and variable temperatures – and the removal of paper-based artworks from their backing. Our advice and estimates are provided free of charge, and larger pieces can be collected from your home.
