Stonesplitter - Small White Raku Clock

Stonesplitter Clocks

Ian Roberts · Stonesplitter Pottery

A clock with a character of its own.

A jaunty roofline. A crackled dial. A tiny detail that makes you smile each time you pass. Ian Roberts’ Stonesplitter clocks bring the presence of a small sculpture to a mantelpiece, shelf or favourite corner.

Made at Stonesplitter Pottery in Leicestershire, these ceramic timepieces use raku firing to create their distinctive surfaces. The collection moves between curved and architectural forms, with colour, texture and individual details giving each clock its own personality.

Look closely when choosing yours: two clocks in a similar colour can still feel quite different. The photographs of each piece are the best place to compare the glaze, shape and little sculptural details.

Start with the available clocks below. You can also explore pieces that have already found their homes for a sense of the wider collection. If a particular style catches your eye, we would be happy to discuss a similar piece.
