Rosie Priestley

I began my creative journey as a graphic designer, and began silversmithing in my spare time. I loved it so much I knew I wanted to make jewellery for other people and honed my skills over the years before launching Rosie Priestley Jewellery with a collection of unique and striking pieces.

My work draws inspiration from two key influences: my background in graphic design and the time I spent with my grandparents as a child. My grandfather worked at Wollaton Hall Natural History Museum, where I was mesmerised by the geode displays in the ‘rock room’. I spent countless hours staring at the precious crystal formations, wondering how I could capture their beauty to gaze at forever.

Equally influential was my grandmother, a woman of style and confidence. Though I was shy growing up, I learned that outward expression and looking the part could help me feel empowered. For me, jewellery is the final touch, a form of self-expression that can bring out my boldest self.

Today, my designs are inspired by the natural world, often taking a playful, abstract turn. I explore repetition in shape and form, forging and assembling elements in new and unexpected ways to create something truly original.
