Collection: Julia Roxburgh
My love of colour and texture began to be a key feature in my pots and remains so to this day. I also love theatre and circus and this inspires and informs the whimsy in my work. I developed the use of crowns as lids and tops in 1998 and this feature has become a recognisable trademark of my work, as is the use of lashings of gold!
Each of my pieces is handmade and goes through four firings which means each piece is a labour of love and can take quite a while to complete.
My work is shown in galleries across the country and my tea services were available in Fortnum & Mason for seven years. I also developed a range for them for the Queen's Jubilee. I have sent work and commissions further afield including America, Sri Lanka and Europe.
