Collection: Yvette Halewood

I like to invite the viewer in to share my perceptions of the natural world; perched on a cliff edge, walking through a meadow or woodland, watching the movement of water in  a quiet brook , or the power of a storm.

Working primarily with acrylics, ink and print I enjoy exploring texture and light to reflect and connect with the  beauty of the countryside that is all around us.

Art both absorbs me and challenges the way I perceive the world.

Coming to art later in life, I am still learning so much about different mediums and enjoy experimenting with various techniques and effects with the guidance and encouragement of John Russell who leads our local art group.

Yvette has exhibited at The Yarrow Gallery as part of the Creative Oundle Festival.

She is a member of Peterborough Artist Open Studios and Northamptonshire Open Studios
