Collection: Glass Trifles

Our aspirations all started when Natasha was in her early teens, and used to Make Lace with her Mother, Carol. Over the years, more time was spent buying beads and spangling the bobbins.

Carol and Natasha started going to bead fairs further a field and finally came upon the Stourbridge bead fair at the festival of glass. Here they watched Martin Tuffnell making glass beads and they were hooked. Both bought all the equiptment and their journey with glass began.

Over the years better beads were being produced and they started to make them into Jewellery. Here the dilemma became, should silver plated or sterling silver findings be used. It was decided the beads needed sterling silver and Natasha found a local evening class in Silversmithing.

Here the Jewellery of Carol and Natasha changed directions, Carol is mainly Lampwork beads, with Silver embelishments and Natasha, became more Silver Jewellery with glass bead embelishment.

Glass Trifles was born and a Hallmark of GT was purchased to comply with selling regulations.
