Ed Robinson’s work is not about pure representation, it is about responses to moods and atmospheres generated by light. Ed’s subjects are generally the sea, harbours, interiors and boats which are painted loosely with a restricted and light palette.

After completing a graphic design and illustration course at Great Yarmouth School of Art (now Norwich School of Art), Ed Robinson moved to London working for some of the leading design and advertising agencies. During his career he obtained several national and international design awards and became a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers.
